很多人认为中国梦应该是Chinese Dream，而实际上，China Dream和Chinese Dream都可以，但是官方的表达是China Dream。随着中国在国际上的影响力越来越大，中国梦这个词也被炒的越来越热。

中国梦的概念英语介绍：

China Dream is a phrase appearing during and after establishment of the new Chinese leadership in 2012-2013 used by the government and journalists in the Peoples Republic of China to describe the aspiration of self-improvement in Chinese society.

中国梦这个词语是继中国新一届中央领导集体成立后在政府和媒体中频繁使用的一个词语，它用来激励在中国社会中实现自我提高的那些人。

The concept of China Dream is very similar to the idea of American Dream. It stresses the importance of entrepreneurial spirit. It also glorifies a generation of self-made men and women in post-reform China，such as those rural immigrates who moved to the urban centers and achieve magnificent improvement for improving their living standards. China Dream can be interpreted as the collective consciousness of Chinese people during the era of social transformation and economic progress.

中国梦到底应该翻译成China Dream还是Chinese Dream?

中国梦是当今最重要的一个话题，然而它的英文翻译十分混乱，有的翻译成China Dream，有的则是Chinese Dream。而且第一种译法明显占上风，各大媒体、宣传广告、甚至官方的同声翻译都用的是China Dream，然而正确的翻译应该是Chinese Dream。理由陈述如下：

一、China是个国家概念，Chinese是个民族概念。中国梦的经典定义是民族振兴和伟大民族的复兴，它是攸关普天之下所有炎黄子孙的功业，包括海内外的所有华人，所以只有Chinese Dream才能准确表达出其核心意思。

二、中国梦是根据美国梦而来的，而美国梦的英文为the American Dream，而不是the America Dream。英文里，America(美国)对应于China(中国)，都是指的国家;American(美国人)才对应于Chinese(中国人)，都是指的属于这个国家的人。所以，只有Chinese Dream才与American Dream能够对应起来，两者的表达才平行。

中国梦的真正规范英文应该是 (the) Chinese Dream，其中的定冠词the在广告用语或者书名中可缺省;因为是专有名词，Dream的第一个字母要大写。
